These pictures were taken on 16 June in a field between Kidderminster and Bewdley. We had driven past it the previous weekend and I did not have my camera that day, so I went back and was surprised to see lots of folks taking pictures including ‘Midlands Today’ I have always loved poppies and it reminds me of the first time I came to the Midlands from London 50 years ago in mid summer and saw the marvellous poppy displays along the hedgerows and in the fields. I was due to marry and settle here that summer so this reminds me of my wedding..
