11. UNSOLICITED E-MAIL (SPAM)
It is the policy of the Churchill and Blakedown Parish Council not to send
out unsolicited (commercial) e-mails, also known as SPAM, of any sort.
We DO NOT send e-mails from the domains of churchillvillage.co.uk, blakedownvillage.co.uk
or churchillandblakedown.co.uk encouraging the sale of ANY product or service
whatsoever. It has come to our attention that some unknown organisation
has stolen our identity and is sending spam e-mails with a "From"
address containing our domain name. If you receive any such e-mail delete
it without opening it. Note that spam e-mail may contain viruses that may
harm your computer. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to stop the
identity theft of our domain name and can only apologise for any you receive.
If you are able, we ask that you complain to the true service provider
from where the e-mail was sent - DO NOT reply to the spam e-mail.
