Churchill and Blakedown Millennium Green Trust

I am pleased to report that the Millennium Green has continued to mature into a beautiful area enjoyed by many in the
parish and from further
afield. However we have not rested on our laurels, and in addition to the normal maintenance
of the hedges, trees and grass, work has been undertaken to enhance further its facilities and amenities. The Green was
used once more for the annual Village Fete, and despite the floods a very successful Wedding Reception was celebrated
on the top part of the
Millennium Green.

Development works have included resurfacing of the car park with a much more durable tarmacadam surface, the purchase
of two more picnic
tables and benches, further fencing and planting.

We were extremely grateful to receive a major contribution for these works from the Norman Dawson Trust. Further funding
was received
from the Parish Council and a donation from the Fete Committee. We thank all of them for their support.

Once more I should like to place on record my sincere thanks to all my fellow Trustees - Chris Lindley, Geoff Elwell (Treasurer), Jonathan Clark and John Rostron for all their hard work and support during the year.

We hope to have another successful year.
