Founded in 1924

The tennis courts were reopened for play on Easter Monday following the recent resurfacing. And by the time you are reading this, new high standard floodlighting on shorter columns, should have been installed. There is also new fencing along the path side with a gate wide enough for wheelchair access. The club is extremely grateful to the Norman Dawson Memorial Trust for the contribution towards the cost of the project which has enabled all the upgrades to take place simultaneously and which greatly enhance the club.

There will be a 'Grand Opening' of these new facilities on Saturday 5th May, starting at 1 pm with the official opening at 2 pm. There will be coaching exercises for all, a machine to test service speed, mix-in tennis and light refreshments will be available. Do come along and see what we have to offer.

Mix-in club nights have now started for the summer season, on Monday evenings from 7.30 pm. If any lapsed tennis player would like to come along and rekindle a former interest, he/she would be very welcome. Also new players are welcome and a Rusty Racquets coaching course takes place for 'rusty' and new players.
