Ward: Blakedown Ward

Elected: Co-Opted December 2006, Elected By Vote, May 2007

Personal Statement: I am Vicky Swindells and I have lived with my family in Blakedown since 1997. I have two children; one who attends the village school and the other has just started at Haybridge. I run an architectural practice in Stourbridge with my husband.

Since moving into Blakedown I have been an active member of Blakedown Primary School’s Parent Teacher Association, and I have organised fund-raising events for the proposed new sports pavilion. Currently I’m a key member of the team organising the first Blakedown Bolt (a 10K race around the local countryside on June 22nd)

You might recognise me as I am often walking the dog or running round the village!

I’m committed to the success of Blakedown, and passionate about our village’s strong sense of community. I understand its problems, and want to do everything I can to improve our quality of life here.
