After 4 years of running this web site I, the Webster, have decided that
it is time to move aside and resign my position. I enjoy running the site,
but strongly believe that any voluntary position needs to be passed on
before it becomes a permanent position. I encourage you to read the job
description below and consider taking on the role of Webster. If you wish
to volunteer for the role, please e-mail using the link at the bottom of
this page. My intention is to remain until the start of September 2008
unless a suitable volunteer steps forward before then.
Description of the Webster
The Webster:
Must be a resident of Churchill Village or Blakedown Village.
Must be able to give on average 2 hours per week to the maintenance of
the Churchill & Blakedown Parish Council Web Site.
Must be able to attend the Parish Council meetings as required. The Webster
role is not that of a Parish Councillor, but as a co-opted member of the
public.
Must be prepared to give considered advice to the Parish Council on matters relating to the running of the web site.
Must be prepared to take direction from the Parish Council on matters relating
to the running of the web site.
Must have their own computer, software and internet access which they will use for the web site maintenance.
Has the freedom to amend the design of the web site in so far as their
technical capability allows, and that any major amendments has the agreement
of the Parish Council, and that the web site continues to promote the villages
of Churchill and Blakedown in the appropriate positive manner.
Is not allowed to use the web site for direct personal gain. Advertising
in the normal manner on the web site is permissable.
