Birmingham Road, Kidderminster

No objection to the proposal in principle, but as this site falls within the catchment of the Blakedown C of E Primary School, which is already at its capacity, and the application is for family sized homes, it is considered that a contribution towards new classroom spaces be obtained via a Section 106 Agreement.

62/08 UPDATES ON PREVIOUS PLANNING APPLICATIONS

WF/08/0107, Proposed car park at Station Yard, Blakedown. Cllr Long reported that he had been prepared to attend and speak on this application at the WFDC Planning Committee, but it was withdrawn, following receipt of an objection from Network Rail. It is likely to be resubmitted at a later date; County Cllr Clee has been kept informed and will help with highway matters. It is noted that a CCTV camera has been installed at the station, focusing on the level crossing, and this may be linked to the suggestions that the signal box may be removed.
